“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. The 2016 Election– Who Will Protect Us?

“Americans See a Government Of, By, and For the Rich” is the title of a recent articlebyHarold Meyerson that recently appeared in the Washington Post and The American Prospect.  

“Across party lines, Americans believe that our economic system is rigged to favor the wealthy and big corporations, and that our political system is, too—so much so that by nearly a 2-to-1 margin (64 percent to 36 percent), Americans believe their “vote does not matter because of the influence that wealthy individuals and big corporations have on the electoral process.”  Seehttp://prospect.org/article/americans-see-government-and-rich-0

This is new evidence that many Americans now recognize their reality more clearly.   Their “safety and happiness” have not been protected – with crash violence being just one major example.

Since 1900, NHTSA has counted motor vehicle deaths to now exceed 3,688,000 lives lost.  Injuries amount to an estimated 904 million people injured. 

Currently each average day in the U.S.A. motor vehicles are involved in about 100 deaths, 400 serious injuries, and result in NHTSA estimated losses of about $2 Billion.  See https://www.careforcrashvictims.com/clock.php
